Pros:
Cuts airline noise reasonably well for the price at a fraction of other devices
Cons:
Audio is not as good as other ear buds I have used.
Other Thoughts:

Pros:
Great sound if you get a good fit, better when NR off. Reduces constant low freq noise.
Cons:
Sound gets louder and seems more compressed when NR turned on. More suitable to those with bigger ears.
Other Thoughts:
Std earpieces quite uncomfortable swapped with those from ATH-CKM50’s and more comfortable.
 
Best earbuds ever!12/8/2011
 I am impressed with the sound quality and noise cancelling feature. I wish they came with more of the foam tips because those are the most comfortable and isolate the noise the best. I haven’t taken them on a flight yet but I will do that on Monday so I will give feedback on how well they do.
 
My Daughter Loves These Buds9/14/2011
 I bought a pair of these for my daughter in college. She was having problems with a noisy roommate when she wanted to study in their dorm. These buds were recommended to my by the General Manager, Brian Gluck, at Headphones.com. All I can say is that my daughter has fell in love with these earbuds. She loves them so much that I’ll be buying myself a pair around Christmas. Thanks Brian for the great recommendation & the service at Headphones.com was fantastic, too.
 
Temper Your Expectations8/13/2011
 I ordered these to cut out the noise in my new open work area. I was right to be skeptical about the "up to 90%" noise reduction promise. It probably cuts out about 35% or so. I guess that qualifies for "up to 90%." ;-) Ironically, it cuts out the white noise and leaves the voices. That doesn’t mean they’re worthless, though. While you can’t use them without music and expect to have a quiet work area, it does remove enough of the noise so that you don’t have to crank up the music to painful levels. On a recent flight, a guy with BOSE headphones let me try them to see the difference. Even they don’t cut out all the noise. (We were already on the ground, not a true test of engine noise.) And they’re much clunkier. I’m keeping these earphones ... but it would be nice to know if the company comes out with an improved version. At least they weren’t $500. :-)

 Ear plugs are not as comfortable as they could be and allow noise to be heard. However they do a good job of reducing background noise. I used them on both 747 and 777 and they greatly reduced the noise in both cases.
