What Grado has to say
What does the i stand for in the new SR80i from Grado? Improved, that’s what! Built on the same features as theSR80Ii, but SR80i utilizes a 4 conductor connecting cable and the diaphragms are put through a special 'de-stressing' process in order to enhance inner detail, the result of which gives a more open stage.
The new SR80i has an upgraded driver design, and they have enlarged and improved the mass distribution in the plastic housing. The way the SR80i’s new driver and plastic housing move air and react to sound vibrations are now less affected by transient distortions. The SR80 provides an improved bass resonance, which enhances the overall detail. With the SR80i you will notice improved control of the upper and lower range of the frequency spectrum with both better supporting Grado’s world renowned midrange.
The SR80i will produce a sound that is pure Grado, warm harmonic color, rich full bodied vocals, excellent dynamics and an ultra smooth top end. Listen and Enjoy!
Customer Reviews
Sr80i ¡Very good buy!
I really have an excellent purchase. I bought the sr80i bid for $ 55! The value for money is certainly a strong point. Sound very good and each day that passes sound even better. So far used the sennheiser hd-520 which are already very old, and Grado have nothing to envy. And some i use AKG-K100: the Grado than the lot in sound quality. He added i love the design retro. Gradi is fine! Just highlight against sr80i heat rather than the ears and are not very comfortable for hearings over an hour. Excuse for my poor English!
Simply the greatest
I purchased Grado SR80i headphones a couple of months back, and all I can say is, these are simply the greatest headphones around for under $400. And they sell for under $100, so there you go. I read a lot of disparaging review, saying that an iPod can't power these headphones, or that they're very uncomfortable, or that Sennheiser's sound better etc. Not true. Not true at all. They are very comfortable, have a much truer sound than any Sennheiser's I've tried, and are powered wonderfully and loudly by my 2GB iPod Nano. Buy these headphones. They are the world's best. Seriously.
Amazing
this is only my second pair of quality headphones, the first were some cheap sennheiser eh150s. i am not a very experienced audiophile obviously but the difference here is as clear as night and day. these are worth every penny i paid, with how muddy the eh150s were i can actually tell the difference in all my musics compression rates now. comfortable out of the box, no stretching required for me. also only 95 cents more than most other sites and free overnight shipping is a score too.
So good
I'm really glad I bought these. I was a little worried at first because I'm not a fan of spending money, but the headphones have been great. Plus, I got them the next day!
Great quality
My brother has a pair of these and after listening to some vinyl on his I decided I need a pair. This site has some great prices so I decided to get them here
Great!
These are great. I love these. I'm not sure I would wear them out of the house or anything, but they sound amazing. Only downside is that they can be a little hot to wear in the office.
