What Shure has to say
Formerly known as the E500PTH, the SE530 uses Triple TruAcoustic Micro-Speakers to create an expansive soundstage. A dedicated tweeter ensures that highs and mids are incredibly accurate and detailed, while dedicated dual woofers provide balanced, full-bodied bass. The Push-To-Hear Control (included with the SE530PTH) adjusts levels of external sound for maximum intelligibility.
The SE530 and SE530PTH mark the bridge from the classic E Series line, to the new line of Sound Isolating Earphones from Shure (SE Models). Evolved from personal monitor technology road-tested by pro musicians and fine-tuned by Shure engineers, the SE530PTH and SE530 earphones deliver unparalleled acoustic accuracy. Triple TruAcoustic MicroSpeakers, one tweeter and dual woofers, deliver an expansive sound stage with full-bodied bass—for an auditory experience rivaled only by live performances.
Included sound isolating sleeves block over 90 percent of ambient noise. Combined with a low-profile ergonomic design and modular cable options, interruptions from the outside world are minimized—so you can focus on your passion. On occasions when you must tear yourself away from the music, the Push-To-Hear Control included with the “SE530PTH activates a VoicePort(TM) microphone, allowing conversation without removing your earphones. Shure Sound Isolating Earphones require a proper fit to achieve the best sound.
Optimized for listening to high-quality recordings and lossless formats, the SE530PTH utilizes three balanced armature drivers—one dedicated tweeter and dual woofers. Additionally, integrated passive crossovers ensure that high and low frequencies remain distinct and defined. The result is an incredibly wide and detailed soundstage, distinguished by precision highs and robust bass. This innovative triple driver configuration is first in class for universal fit, sound isolating earphones.
A first for sound isolating earphones, the detachable Push-To-Hear Control allows you to activate the VoicePortTM microphone and adjust levels of external sound for clarity—ideal for brief conversations without removing your earphones. The switch allows you to conveniently alternate between your music and your connection to the outside world.
Similar to the microphones used in Shure QuietSpot® cellular headsets, the VoicePort microphone is tuned to pick up the human voice, ensuring maximum intelligibility. Included with the SE530PTH, it is available as an optional accessory for all Shure Sound Isolating Earphone models, including the SE210, SE310 and SE420.
Customer Reviews
The best of its kind.
If you like in ear monitors, you will like these. They do involve a twist around the ear and require a good seal to use, so you can't just press them in and go. But use them right and they sound amazing. The best airplane earphones ever. Don't mess with noise cancellation because that screws up the sound. Mess with these.
Great fitting and cool designs
These headphones come in killer packaging and are some of the most slick earbuds I've ever tried. The sound could use some more bass, but the highs are really tight and they make a great pair of portable headphones.
Sound great, but a pain to put on.
These Shure earphones sound better than other earphones I've tried, but they're a total pain to put in. You need to find an absolute perfect seal or they sound really tinny. Once you get it right, though, they're wonderful. I just don't like the trial and error every time I try to wear them.
