Koss Corp. was founded in 1953 by John C. Koss as a hospital TV rental business. Then in 1958, John Koss teamed with Martin Lange to develop the 390 Phonograph to show at a Milwaukee Hi-fi Show.They also demonstrated a pair of aviator headphones along with the 390, which were a big hit, so Koss launched the first stereophone headphone and with that launched the personal listening industry.The SP-3 stereophone was the world’s first high fidelity headphone.
