When I first started working at HeadRoom I borrowed the Neumann KU 100 you see in some of our headphone photo's. I was amazed by the stereo imaging and felt that it was the most realistic reproduction of natural sound and space that I had ever heard. Ever since that day, I would get a little sad seeing pictures of that microphone. Until now... Knowing your neighbors is one of the greatest pleasures of living in a small town and our new neighborhood is an exciting place to be. Just around the corner from us you can find the home of Live From The Divide, self described as "A Celebration of the American Songwriter". More than just a live venue, this is a top notch studio. What really makes this place special is the people running it and the musicians they are bringing in. After a few friendly conversations we decided we needed to put this microphone to good use. Beginning with Season 2 we have binaural recordings of nearly all performances for your listening enjoyment. I was lucky enough to attend this particular show and hope you enjoy listening to our recordings as much as I do. HeadRoom Entertainment is excited to bring you the exclusive Binaural Edition of North Mississippi Allstars at Live From The Divide. [audio:] You can also check out the mixed for radio version on the Live From the Divide website. Brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson soaked up the music of their father, Memphis legend Jim Dickinson, and absorbed the North Mississippi legacy while playing and shaking it down in the juke joints with their blues ancestors.
