    The Audeze LCD-4z Planar Magnetic Headphones represent a shift into the more comfortable life with Audeze. If you've ever wanted to try the Audeze LCD-4 but you were too worried that your neck would give out from the weight, the Audeze LCD-4z are for you. Weighing in 25% lighter and having an impedance of 15 ohms (that's right, 15!) and a sensitivity of 98 db at 1 mw, not only are they way more comfortable, but they are extremely easy to drive to boot! With their magnesium rings and gold screens, they are also just as easy on the eyes as the classic LCD-4.

    Unlike the standard 200 Ohm LCD-4s that require a headphone amplifier, the LCD-4z can easily be driven from lower-output devices such as phones, tablets, portable players, or computers. The LCD-4z feature magnesium rings with gold screens, which make the headphones 25% lighter than the LCD-4.

    Instead of utilizing traditional dynamic cone drivers, the LCD-4z implement nano-grade uniforce diaphragms and Double Fluxor magnet arrays for a powerful magnetic flux density of 1.5 Tesla. The headphones deliver a frequency response of 5 Hz to 50 kHz with a THD of less than 0.1% and an efficiency of 98 dB per 1 mW. Additionally, the suspension-type carbon fiber and leather headband ensure a comfortable fit. The benefits of a magnetic planar design include faster transient response due to the lighter diaphragm, a wide frequency with low distortion, better heat dissipation, fewer moving parts for greater durability, and better amplifier compatibility because the circuit functions as an almost entirely restive load.

    The headphones also implement the company's patented Fazor technology to guide and manage the flow of sound for better clarity, phasing, 3D imaging, and frequency response. The magnetic structure creates a uniform magnetic field across the diaphragm, without the need for additional ferromagnetic material traditionally found in other planar headphones to remove magnetic interference, reduce harmonic distortion, and lower overall weight. The headphones come with a professional travel case as well as a premium 1/4" to dual 4-pin mini-XLR headphone cable. They are handcrafted in California, USA.
